Since the formation of Astles Control Systems (ACS) by Peter Astles in 1989, the company has become a major supplier of control systems in the UK. ACS's products are sold to many different manufacturing industries. The main industries are two-piece beverage cans, automotive, engineering and motor components, white goods, architectural aluminium and steel. Exports currently account for 20% of ACS's turnover and are expected to account for an increasing percentage in the future. Our principal engineers are Roger Havercroft and Hal Stephenson
We are suppliers of online industrial controls systems, including the PC500 and PC45 chemical controllers using Allen Bradley SLC500 series PLCs and Red Lion G310 displays. At the sensing end, we supply Fluoride electrodes, pH electrodes, conductivity probes and RmV sensors. We designed the 762 probe holder to work with all these electrodes and since its introduction in 1999 we have not had a single failure due to leakage. With its double-junction technology, the 762 offers excellent stability and performance. We manufacture analysers to suit all these probes and all are designed to withstand gruelling industrial environments. We can supply and install online and benchtop turbidity equipment.
We supply a large range of dosing pumps, including Nikkiso-Eiko Chemipon and Grundfos Digital Dosing. We also stock spare parts and our experienced engineers can refurbish used pumps, often making them work like new.
We stock an extensive range of laboratory sensing equipment, including pH, Fluoride, Redox, RmV and conductivity meters, either bench meters or handheld. We supply Thermo-Orion benchmeters and portable meters and all the probes to go with them. To complete the range, we supply handheld colorimeters and turbidimeters.
We can provide maintenance services and calibration to national standards. You have the choice of sending the equipment to us or, if that isn't convenient, you can book a site visit by one of our engineers. We provide service contracts for regular maintenence and calibration for ultimate peace of mind.
We supply Endress+Hauser equipment, including electromagnetic and coriolis flowmeters, and Eurotherm-Chessel chart recorders. We have an extensive experience in the installation and configuration of this equipment.
