SWITCHING TO GRUNDFOS

How to replace your existing LMI, Prominent, Alldos, Pulsafeeder dosing pump with a Grundfos Digital Dosing™ Pump.

Not only have Grundfos produced a truly innovative dosing pump, they have made it extremely simple to install as a replacement for commonly available pumps.

Electrical

Most chemical dosing pumps rated at under 150 l/hour run from a single phase supply, however this may be 110 or 230V. No problem with a Grundfos Digital Dosing™ Pump, the pump has a switched mode power supply which enables the pump to run on a 100~240V 50/60 Hz supply. The power consumption of the pumps is very low, in most cases it will be possible to connect the pump directly to the existing supply.

Mechanical

The pumps are designed to mount on a flat surface, or onto a wall with an optional wall mount bracket. In most cases it will be possible to mount the pump directly in the location of the existing pump.

Plumbing

The Grundfos Pump is supplied with compression fittings for 4/6, 6/8, 6/9, & 9/12 mm tubing. It can therefore be connected directly to the existing tubing if it is one of the above sizes. In the event that a different size tubing is in use such as 6/11 or 10/16 Reinforced PVC, we can provide adaptors.

The customer has replaced four different pumps at two different voltages with one pump to suit all applications. This is possible for the following reasons;

  • Grundfos Digital Dosing™ Pump operates on any voltage from 100~240V AC.
  • The Stepper Motor drive allows a turndown ratio of 1000:1, a 48 litre/hour pump can therefore accurately dose the 3.8 litre/hour application.
  • The tubing fittings supplied with the 48 litre/hour pump allow it to be connected to the existing tubing, reducing installation costs.

The result is that the customer need only hold one pump to cover all applications.
